WIND DRIVEN FIRE

30 mph winds helped a fast moving grass fire this afternoon south of Dover. Smoke was thick all the way to Hennessey. Union Pacific Rail Road stopped the trains for several hours because the fire was close to the tracks and for poor visibility. The fire was located south of Red Fork Dr and west of the railroad tracks in Dover. Several residents were seen watering down their yards. Kingfisher, Dover and Loyal firefighters worked the fire for several hours with help from the Kingfisher County Sheriff dept. for traffic control. Additional photos by Traci Macy.
