The Town of Hennessey applied for and received a matching $65,000 REAP grant. This will be used to replace waterlines on S Cimarron and on W 6th streets. Hennessey Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman said, “This will be ready to go out for bid shortly and work can begin soon.” The total cost of this project is $130,196.97, with the town paying half and the grant covering the rest. This is the second REAP grant in a row that Hennessey has received.
Town Trustee Richard Simunek said, “So, in two years, Hennessey has received a total of $260,000 in grants for infrastructure improvement. That’s a quarter-million dollars! Tiffany has done a marvelous job with these recent grant applications.”
