Today was a very special day for Christine Phillips who celebrated her 111th birthday. Phillips is officially the oldest living person in Kingfisher County and the second oldest living Oklahoman. Although Phillips and the residents of Countrywood Assisted Living Center in Kingfisher have been taking lots of precautions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they celebrated her birthday with just as much excitement and joy as they would have in a normal year. Her family and friends planned a special drive-by parade for her this morning. Even though this year has been rough, Mrs. Phillips is a reminder to all of us that we can make it through even the toughest of times. Story and Photos by Emily Faith.
