What is that you ask? It is a bus full of clothing, coats, and shoes of all sizes. It will be a mobile clothing ministry for anyone. Mobility makes this bus available at church events, back to school bash, block parties or disasters if needed.There will be a Fish Fry Fundraiser Saturday, August 29 at the First Christian Church in Hennessey. Proceeds will go to pay for the bus. “This bus even has a handicap lift and that was one of the main features that made it perfect” said Susan Henry organizer of this ministry. “We are taking donations of clothing, shoes and accessories, to be given away free to those in need in our area. Anyone from a newborn to a care center resident. There is a great need in our community for a clothing ministry and we think making your donations mobile will bring help to where it’s needed.” All clothes donated will be washed and sorted before going in to the bus. Agape has been blessed with a washer and dryer. Donations can be made in person at the Fish Fry where the bus will be parked for all to see, or through Community State Bank “Agape Apparel Account”. It will be based out of the office of the welding shop across from 4T’s if you would like to drop off items during the week. Thank you to everyone who is making this happen for our community.
