The Hennessey Board of Trustees approved the preliminary engineering for phase 2 of the sewer project north of Hwy 81 and to proceed to DEQ permitting. About a year ago, the town installed a sewer lift station on the north side of Hwy 81, to allow sewer access to that side of town. Scott Hajek, land owner and developer said, “This is one of the last steps needed that will let me start building roads and developing the land north of Dollar General.” No new money was spent to do this phase of work. The town is using leftover loan money from installing the lift station.
