HENNESSEY
The funeral for Mark Edward Smith, 38 will be at 4:00 PM Saturday July 11, 2020 at 132 Bible Church officiated by Victor Choate. Cremation will follow at a later date by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Mark was born at Kingfisher on July 14, 1981 to Guadalupe and Betty Smith Escarcega and died Tuesday July 7, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Mark attended Hennessey Public Schools and worked in pipeline construction.
He married Desiree Hart in Hennessey on February 3, 2019.
Mark is survived by his wife Desiree of the home; his mother Betty Pinales of Oklahoma City; one sister Barbara Diaz; one brother Alex Escarcega all of Hennessey; two step-children Jaeden Walters, Tristan Walters; one grandson Josiah Brett Walters; his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Riddle of Kendrick, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews Heily Diaz, Noah Diaz, Raider Diaz, Dominic Diaz, and Ellieana Escarcega.
Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Cecil Smith.
