Last night the Hennessey Community Action Team (CAT) held their biggest fundraising event yet packing the Hennessey Cow Palace to capacity. The Hennessey Police presented the family a shadow box with a retired badge in Logan’s name, making him an honorary Hennessey Police Officer. Hennessey Lions Club, The Masons and other organizations helped make this a successful event. The crowd was entertained with music by Jake Bowers, and auctioneer Justin Choate kept the crowd hopping as he sold dozens of items donated for the event. Other entertainment included horse and wagon rides and a balloon release for the children. The event was held to help the Whittenburg family with their recent loss of their son Logan and raised over $50,000.
