At the July 21st, 2019 Town Council meeting, the town board approved purchasing a new ambulance to replace the 10 year old unit with 134,000 miles. The new ambulance was put into service last week and features many new items like an battery operated gurney lift with a 750 pound lift capacity. Another new item includes a Lucas mechanical CPR devise that allows the paramedics to work on the patient while the machine continues CPR. LIFE EMS Paramedic Christopher Winn said, “The Hennessey service made 432 runs last year”. The Hennessey ambulance service is operated under contract by LIFE EMS out of Enid. The vehicles belong to The Town of Hennessey, but are serviced and maintained by LIFE EMS.
