Tommy (Tom) E. McCormick of Midland, Texas, age 65, passed away at the hospital on July 30, 2019 after suffering a heart attack. He was born on October 22, 1953 in Amarillo, Texas, son of Gerald and Barbara McCormick. Tom spent much of his childhood in both Kingfisher and Hennessey, Oklahoma. A long history of business dealings in the oil industry, he traveled to many parts of the world as an adult. He enjoyed life and he will be missed.
Tom is survived by his mother Barbara (Dean) Lamb, his brother Robert (Clair) McCormick, daughters Candace (Kerry) and Heather (Jeremiah), his grandchildren: Jake, Madison, Kinley and Seeley; his nephews Mike and Joey, his nieces Kristen and Kaitlin, and other family and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his brother Tony McCormick and his father Gerald McCormick.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 N. Cherokee St., Hennessey, Oklahoma on August 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM. A rosary prayer service will be held before the Mass. Tom’s cremated remains will be brought to the cemetery after Mass to be placed next to his brother Tony.
