GO TO JAIL, DO NOT PASS GO…
Hennessey Police Department just completed the renovation of their jail and Assistant Chief, Ed Cangiano and Lieutenant, Mike Jones gave us a tour. The jail was originally built in 1963. They quit using it in the late 70s or early 80s. Since then it was used for storage until recently, when they started the remodel. Police Chief, Hank Weber said “It costs the town about $60 per day to keep someone in the Kingfisher County jail. We can do it here for about $10. Making it a significant savings, not to mention the travel time.” The remodeled jail area includes 3 cells with beds and bathrooms, shower, and booking room. Each cell has been outfitted with new locks and cameras.
