Recitation of the Rosary for Harry Galen Koehn, 89 will be at 7:00 PM Friday May 31, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 AM Saturday June 1, 2019 at St. Joseph’s officiated by Rev. Ed Menasco. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Harry was born in Montezuma, Kansas on October 26, 1929 To Andrew H. and Susie Unruh Koehn and died Saturday May 25, 2019 at Hennessey Care Center.

Harry graduated from Goltry High School and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Emma Louise Zelnicek in Oklahoma City on August 22, 1954. The couple owned and operated Koehn’s Thrift-T-Wise grocery in Hennessey for a number of years then owned and operated Koehn’s Liquor Store in Enid.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Men’s Club, Hennessey Lions Club and the Grand National Quail Club.

Harry is survived by one daughter Kathy Barnhart and husband Rick of Havana, Kansas; one son Phil Koehn and Montie of Piedmont; one grandson Jack Koehn, and one sister Lucille Preston of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his wife Emma; two brothers and one sister.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Community Action Team for Hennessey Care Center Projects with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
