MARK SMITH WINS 4TH FEATURE AT LONGDALE SPEEDWAY
Racing action was back on at Longdale Speedway this past weekend.
Matthew Smith (5) finished first in his heat race and improved his 7th starting position to second place in the A-Feature
Mark Smith (95) ran 2nd in his heat race and improved his 9th starting position to a 1st place finish, 7th of the year
Tyler Scruggs (81) improved his 5th starting position to a 2nd in the heat race and ran 3rd in the A-Feature
Michael Meek (6*) started 6th in heat and ran 3rd. In feature started 8th and improved to a 7th place finish
Skylar McCall (16) ran 3rd in heat race and ran 8th in the A-Feature
Damon Seiger (23) won his heat race, and ran 3rd in feature to capture another top 3 finish
Logan Macy (3*) ran 8th in the heat race and also ran 8th in feature

Construction on the Hennessey dome parking lot has closed N. Walnut St for about one month. This map shows the school access route for the elementary students drop off and pick up for the month of August.
HENNESSEY POOL PLANS APPROVED …
HENNESSEY POOL PLANS APPROVED
The Hennessey Town Trustees approved the final plans for the new pool, subject to the Oklahoma Health Department. The new aquatic center includes a 75 foot lap area, a zero entry kid’s area, 12 foot deep diving area, a 90 foot long slide, and a concession and bath-house. There is also an ADA powered lift to raise and lower anyone with a handicap in and out of the pool. Plans are in the works for a ground breaking the week of August 13th and an opening date of Memorial Day 2020. This good news brought to you by Rayco Paraffin Service

Hennessey Public Schools is seeking substitute teachers for the upcoming school year.
An Orientation for New and Continuing Substitutes will take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday July 31 in the seminar room at the Hennessey Public Schools Auditorium at 213 N Walnut.
Those attending should bring their photo ID, social security card and direct deposit information to the workshop.
