Meet the people behind Community State Bank- Hennessey.
Some people have been around since the beginning. Tim Riddle is one of them. In fact, when Community State Bank opened its doors in Hennessey on July 6, 1999, Tim was there helping get things started.
Now, 27 years later, he’s still at it!
As Branch Manager, Vice President and Loan Officer, Tim wears several hats at CSB. From making everyday decisions to helping customers with loans, he’s spent a good portion of his life doing what he knows best — banking.
You might say it runs in the family. Tim’s dad was a banker, and Tim has quite the background himself. He’s worked with the FDIC, Farm Credit Services, Kingfisher Bank & Trust and even spent some time in insurance.
But ask Tim what makes a good day at work, and his answer is pretty simple. It’s being able to help someone. Especially when a customer comes in needing a loan and he can help make it happen.
That’s also what he hopes people remember about CSB — the friendliness, the atmosphere and that small-town banking experience where you can actually sit down and talk to someone.
And speaking of talking, Tim has one piece of banking advice he wishes everyone would follow: COMMUNICATE!
If you’re having an issue, pick up the phone and call. Tim wants customers to know they’re willing to listen and work with them. Keeping those lines of communication open can make all the difference.
Outside the bank, Tim and his wife, Janell, have a combined family of five children and nine grandchildren.
He’s also spent 25 years serving on the fire department, and believe it or not, one thing he’s always wanted to do is be part of a search and rescue team.
Now here’s something you might NOT expect from Tim. He enjoys going to the Civic Center to watch Broadway-style musicals! Who would’ve guessed?
He’s also a fan of Hennessey’s Mistletoe Magic Christmas celebration, one of his favorite local traditions.
After all these years, Tim has seen plenty of changes in banking, with technology being one of the biggest. But there’s one thing he still believes matters just as much today as it did back in 1999 — being available when customers need help.
And one last thing we learned about Tim… when asked who has the most organized desk at CSB, he didn’t even try to claim that title.
That honor goes to Karen!
