Wine Festival 2026
The Hennessey United Wine Festival got a refresh this year, and judging by the attendance, visitors seemed to like the changes.
The annual event was held Saturday, October 3, at Hennessey Memorial Park on Main Street, bringing hundreds of people downtown for an afternoon of wine, food, shopping and socializing.
Since the festival began 15 years ago, vendors had primarily been limited to wine, chocolate and a few food offerings. This year, organizers opened the doors to a much wider variety of vendors, including beer, baked goods, gifts, local nonprofits.
Several food trucks were also on hand serving up hot meals, while other vendors offered snacks, sweets and specialty food items throughout the afternoon.
Another big change this year was the name. Formerly known as the Wine & Chocolate Festival, organizers shortened it to simply the Wine Festival. They explained that chocolate vendors have become increasingly difficult to find, and Oklahoma’s warm fall weather isn’t exactly chocolate’s best friend.
Initial numbers show about 400 paid visitors attended the festival, along with an estimated 400 or more who came out to enjoy the vendors, food and beautiful Saturday afternoon in Hennessey.
