All About Hennessey and The Hennessey Flower Shop have teamed up to recognize people who make a difference in our community. This August, the flowers go to Lisa Bossa.
Aronda Hajek nominated Lisa for a reason that will sound familiar to anyone who knows her: when someone needs help, Lisa’s answer is usually, “Sure, I can help.”
Need a bus driver? Lisa’s there. Need a TV hung on the wall? She’ll bring her tools. Need a babysitter? With a family that includes 47 children and grandchildren, she has plenty of experience.
Lisa has taught students from Pre-K through middle school. She has coached, pitched in at school and stayed active in her church. Wherever an extra set of hands is needed, Lisa seems ready to lend hers.
Much of what she does happens quietly, but it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
