A missing 82-year-old man who had been the subject of a Silver Alert was located safely in Hennessey early Monday morning.
According to Hennessey Police Chief Christian Solis, Kenneth Martin had last been seen Sunday and was reported missing. Authorities were especially concerned because Martin required medication.
๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ณ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฒ ๐ฎ.๐บ., Hennessey Police Officer Joshua McNeely responded to a report of a reckless driver and stopped a vehicle driven by Martin.
Martin told McNeely he was headed to Norman, but he was traveling north toward Enid. When McNeely checked Martinโs information, he discovered that Martin was the subject of a Silver Alert.
๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ, and arrangements were made for his family to come to Hennessey to pick him up.
A great ending to what could have been a very different story, and some sharp police work by Officer McNeely helped get Mr. Martin safely reunited with his family.
