The Hennessey Lady Eagles picked up a 6-3 win over the Heritage Hall Chargers on Monday, August 24.
Hennessey got off to a strong start in the bottom of the first inning. Avery Weimer scored after tagging up, and Kinley Hladik added another run with a sacrifice bunt.
The Lady Eagles extended their lead in the third inning when Brylee Seiger singled down the left-field line to help make it a 4-0 game.
Kenna Peach earned the win in the circle for Hennessey. She pitched all seven innings, allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out seven and walking two.
The Lady Eagles collected eight hits in the game. Weimer led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate. Seiger went 2-for-2, while Ivana Gutierrez drove in a team-high two runs. KJ Pendergraft drew two walks as Hennessey finished with five walks overall.
Hennessey also played a clean game defensively, committing no errors and turning one double play. Hladik led the defense with eight plays.
Heritage Hall was led by Callie Fielding and Reagan Duguay, who each had two hits. Duguay and Jasey Hernandez each drove in a run for the Chargers.
