Construction on S Mitchell Rd is progressing as Rudy’s Construction crews are literary starting at the bottom.
Crews are currently digging out the entire road down to the dirt and will be building a completely new road base to start the new road on a solid foundation.
This covers the area of S Mitchell Road between 7th Street and Conoco Road. The Town of Hennessey is using a series of grants to help fund the multi-phase improvement project.
Originally planned in three separate phases, Town Administrator Tiffany Rowen said funding arrived sooner than expected, allowing two phases to be completed at the same time. This phase of the project will cover a little more than three-quarters of a mile of roadway.
The remaining portion of the roadway will be completed in the next grant cycle. Photos by AAH Jack Quirk
