The funeral for Terry Joe Sedlak, 81 will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday May 20, 2026, at Kingfisher Church of The Nazarene officiated by Pastor Zack Smithson and Jeff Liles. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hennessey under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Terry was born in Enid on April 17, 1945, to Joe and Marcella Pacula Sedlak and died Friday May 15, 2026, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He graduated from Hennessey High School and attended Oklahoma State University and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Central State College in Edmond.
Terry married Donna Meier in Hennessey October 2, 1999. The couple made their home on the family farm east of Hennessey prior to moving to Kingfisher.
Terry is survived by his wife Donna of the home, four daughters Heather Vanhouten and husband Ben of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Cortney Cribari of California, Stephanie Peterson and husband Allen, Melissa Finley and husband Brent, all of Piedmont; seven grandchildren Jack Vanhouten, Alex Vanhouten, Kingston Cribari, Nathaniel Peterson, Addison Peterson, Carissa Finley, Aiden Finley, and one sister Debra Holder of Jenks.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Marcella Sedlak.
