The Eagles answered early, tying things up in the first inning after Hardin drew a walk to bring in a run. Drummond pulled ahead in the second and held onto the lead the rest of the way.
Martinez got the start on the mound, striking out four over three and a third innings. At the plate, Martinez and Roman each picked up a hit, while Roman stayed busy defensively with a team-high seven chances. The Eagles also played a clean game in the field with no errors. Drummond was led by Swart, who drove in three runs. Keep working, Eagles. Plenty of season left. photos by AAH Shelley Muzny
