Our community has always taken pride in looking out for one another, especially those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. Today, we are asking for that same support for one of our own.
Ty Gardner, a retired veteran and devoted volunteer firefighter, was recently injured in the line of duty. Ty was enroute to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation after the Hitchcock fire. Where he then suffered a massive heart attack. Ty is currently fighting for his life.
Ty, and his family, are well known throughout the Hennessey community, where they have built a reputation of kindness, service, and always being there when someone needs a helping hand.
Ty is someone many in our community know not just by name, but by his actions. He has consistently stepped up to help those in need—whether it be fellow veterans, the wounded, or families facing hardship. His willingness to serve and give back has never wavered.
Now, Ty needs us.
In response, a donation account has been established by the Hennessey Community Action Team (CAT) at Community State Bank in Hennessey, to help support him during his recovery. This is an opportunity for our community to come together and give back to someone who has given so much of himself to others.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference for Ty and his family as they navigate this difficult time.
If you are able, please consider donating and helping us show Ty the same strength, generosity, and compassion that he has shown so many.
Let’s stand behind one of our own.
