Alieta “Ally” Kaye (McEachern) Surface passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 at her home in Fort Worth, Texas after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 46 years old.
Alieta was born on October 12, 1979, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Roger Lee McEachern Jr. and Cindy Louise McAllister. She grew up surrounded by family and carried that deep love for family throughout her life.
On June 28, 2003 she married the love of her life, David Surface, in Ft Worth, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life in the Fort Worth area where they raised their four sons and created a home filled with love, laughter, and faith.
Alieta served exceptionally as Director of the Education Foundation and Community Partnerships for the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District. She was deeply committed to her community and passionate about supporting education while building meaningful partnerships and making a lasting difference in the lives of students and families.
Alieta was a devoted member of Fort Worth United Methodist Church. She lived out her faith through service, compassion, and generosity. Her relationship with the Lord guided her through life’s joys and challenges and was a steady source of strength throughout her courageous battle.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David Surface; her four sons, Logan, Lane, Nicholas, and Benjamin, all of the home; her parents, Roger and Penny McEachern of Hennessey, Oklahoma, and Cindy and Tom Treue of McAlester, Oklahoma; her grandmother, Lavonne O’Bryant; her siblings, Shane Davidson and his wife Angel, Larry Harviston and his wife Ashley, and Anna Guffey and her fiancé, Jake Hajek, all of Hennessey, Oklahoma; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Roger McEachern Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Howard McAllister Sr. and Karleen McAllister and her maternal grandmother, Wirtley Alieta Bortles; and bonus father Danny “Truckie” Murphy
Alieta will be remembered for her strength, her unwavering love for her family, and her servant’s heart. Her legacy lives on through her husband, her sons, and the countless lives she touched.
A memorial service honoring Alieta’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Ft Worth United Methodist Church in Fort Worth Texas, 800 W. 5th St.
