There was a great turnout Thursday night for the annual Friends of the Library Cook-off, formerly known as the Chili Cook-off, but clearly no longer limited by the laws of chili alone.
This popular Hennessey event brought out an impressive lineup of creative cook’s concoctions with names like Cauldron Stew, Emerald City Chicken, and Flying Monkey Chili. For those not feeling quite adventurous, there were plenty of comfort-food classics on hand too, including mac & cheese, pot roast, and chicken & dumplings. Something for every level of culinary bravery.
The evening raised approximately $2,900 for the organization that helps support the Hennessey Library, proving once again that good food and a good cause make a perfect recipe.
