Michael Lee Hutchison of Hennessey, 65, passed away on June 22, 2025, going home to be with his Heavenly Father. Born on January 16, 1960, in Kingfisher to Helen Lee (Fisher) Hutchison and Edward Eugene Hutchison, Michael spent his life rooted in the communities he loved most.
A memorial service honoring Michaelโs life was held on Saturday, November 15th, at 10:00 a.m., at 132 Bible Church.
Growing up, Mike loved playing sports of all kinds, but basketball was always his favorite. One thing that remained constant throughout his life was his loyalty to cheering on the OSU Cowboys
Michael lived and worked throughout the Hennessey and Enid areas for most of his life. He spent many years employed in the oilfield and construction, and, lastly, working for Hennessey Septic Tank. Known for his reliability, hard work, and genuine heart.
Above all, Michael loved his family. He treasured every moment spent with themโsharing stories, laughing together, and simply being present. His easygoing nature will be remembered by all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his siblings: Molly Fipps, Edwina Leal, Edward Hutchison, Dr. Bill Hutchison, Rose Smith, and Sherry Ehrhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Marion Hutchison, his niece, Carla Best, his nephew, Jarrett Smith and niece Misty Hutchison.
Mike was a long-time resident of the Hennessey Nursing Home, where he spent the last 12 years calling it home.
