A come and go celebration of life for Timothy Wayne Michelsen, 53 will be from 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday November 1, 2025, at Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Tim was born in San Diego, California on March 21, 1972, to Lyle and Sandra Morgan Michelsen and died Sunday October 19, 2025, at his home south of Hennessey,
Tim graduated from Covington-Douglas High School in 1991 and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva.
Most of his life he worked as a wireline operator or engineer in the oilfield industry. Those jobs took him all over including Oklahoma, Kentucky, Texas, Kansas, North Dakota and Wyoming. Tim always dreamed of owning his own wireline company and in 2020, he founded Eagle Wireline, LLC. in Hennessey, OK.
If you knew Tim, you knew what was important to him. It was wireline, Shopsmiths and his friends but above all of these, it was his daughter Gracie Jo. Owning a business gave him the flexibility to spend more time with her. Their weekends together were always spent doing something fun and exciting together. They went to the movies, dug up crystals, rode ATVs, enjoyed going to thrift stores, went to car races & to the monster trucks, and one Halloween they shot paintballs at clowns & zombies at the Haunt in Harrah. She was his whole world.
Tim is survived by his daughter Gracie Michelsen, ex-wife Deanna Grace, two sisters Yvonne Hudson and husband Melvin of Midland, Arkansas, Amanda Shelito and husband Mark of Enid; two nieces Christina Pugh and husband Alan, Sara Nall; two nephews Rodney Hudson and wife Lindsey, Joseph Shelito, and one great-niece Morgan Pugh.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gracie Michelsen College Fund with the funeral home serving as custodian.
