The Hennessey Fire Department gathered Sunday, October 19, for its annual Recognition Night, honoring firefighters and their families with awards, promotions, and dinner.
Fire Chief Brandon Scott shared the departmentโs training and certification highlights, including Hazmat, Firefighter I and II, EMR, and Weather School. Five firefighters completed probation and received dress blues and badge numbers: Sergio Gomez, CW Daniel, Luis Lara, Skyler McCall, and Randy Gregory.
Service milestone pins were awarded to James Matousek (30 years), Terry Berkenbile (25), Dustin Munroe (20), Logan Macy, Jake Streck, and Cris Pribyl (15 each), and Dustin Grellner and Kaleb Hladik (10 each).
Promotions included Berkenbile to Battalion Chief, Kyle Keeton to Captain, and Cris Pribyl and Tyson Copeland to Lieutenant.
Special awards went to CW Daniel (Outstanding Medical), Sergio Gomez (Outstanding Firefighter), Copeland (Strive Award), and Cris Pribyl (Firefighter of the Year).
