The 15th Annual Hennessey United Town-Wide Garage Sale turned quiet streets into bargain battlegrounds on Saturday, September 20, as hundreds of shoppers scoured the town for hidden gems—and probably a few things they didn’t even know they needed.
Parking spots became prime real estate, with cars squeezed into every available nook as residents opened garages, closets, and even junk drawers to put their finds on display.
New Addition: Main Street Market
This year featured something new—Hennessey Mercantile’s Main Street Market, set up along W. Oklahoma Street. The pop-up gave out-of-towners and vendors a chance to join the fun in the heart of downtown. By sunrise, bargain hunters were already circling, waiting for deals to drop.
Mapping the Sales
Armed with Discover Hennessey’s interactive map, shoppers navigated their way to 53 different sales scattered across town. Coordinated by Renee Curry, the map sales raised funds for Hennessey United, adding purpose to the community-wide treasure hunt.
Looking Ahead
If you missed this year’s sale, don’t worry—the tradition will be back. In fact, you might want to start re-filling those closets and drawers now. The 16th annual “Great Hennessey Purge” is only a year away.
