Onย Thursday, September 4, Hennessey Elementaryโs Kindergarten classes set out for an exciting field trip, visiting both the local Police Department and Fire Station.
At the Police Department, the students were welcomed by Chief Solis, who gave them a hands-on look at the tools officers use to keep the community safe. The kids were fascinated by the control room, where they got to see the network of cameras around town. But the real highlight came when they climbed into Chief Solisโ patrol carโlights flashing and sirens blaringโto experience a taste of life behind the badge.
The adventure continued at the Fire Station, where firefighters rolled out the red carpet with fire trucks, hoses, and gear demonstrations. Wide-eyed students eagerly explored the truck and learned how firefighters use their tools to battle blazes and protect lives.
The day was both fun and educational, leaving the Kindergarteners with lasting memoriesโand plenty of big smiles. Photos by AAH Cam Griffin
