An early morning crash left the Hennessey Public Library’s book return box destroyed on Tuesday, September 2.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., a southbound SUV crossed two northbound lanes of Highway 81/Main Street before striking the library’s outdoor book return.
The driver continued south for about two miles before stopping at the intersection of Highway 81 and Exxon Road (E650 Road).
No injuries were reported, and authorities have not yet released the driver’s name.
