The Hennessey Junior High Lady Eagles rolled past Watonga on Monday with a commanding 10-0 shutout victory.
The bats got going early when Avery Weimer drove in the first run with an RBI single in the opening inning. Harper Streck added another after being hit by a pitch, and Hayden Hochstrasser doubled to bring in two more. The offense kept rolling in the third inning with a single from Kayli Crawford and another run scoring on a passed ball to stretch the lead even further.
In the circle, Reese Meek was nearly untouchable. She struck out seven in just three innings of work and didn’t allow a single hit. Behind her, the defense was flawless—finishing the game without an error.
At the plate, the Lady Eagles tallied nine hits. Hochstrasser and Kinslee Copeland led the way with two each, while Streck and Hochstrasser both collected two RBIs apiece.
The Lady Eagles will hit the road for their next matchup, traveling to Perry on Tuesday.
