This week’s “Where Are They Now” feature is a bit unique because Charlie Mills did not graduate from Hennessey High School. However, anyone who graduated around 1998 will surely remember him. Charlie was born in Kingfisher and raised in Hennessey, Oklahoma, by his parents, Bobby Mills and Cindy Evans. He has four siblings: Anette Bryant, George Mills, Tisha Mills, and Michael Moore.
Charlie attended Hennessey Public Schools from kindergarten through fifth grade before moving to Fox, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Fox High School in 1998. After graduation, Charlie worked in construction for his uncle until 2001. In July 2001, he began working for Hobby Lobby Distribution, where he remained until 2015. Currently, Charlie is employed at Tinker Air Force Base.
Charlie married JoeLee Mills on May 27, 2000, and they are celebrating their 25th anniversary this month! The couple lives in Edmond and has one son, Benjamin Mills, who is 19 years old and studying Music Education at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO).
In his free time, Charlie enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching movies, and playing video games. He is also a fan of sports, particularly Oklahoma State University and the OKC Thunder. Charlie is known for his contagious smile and kind heart. AAH, Shelley Muzny
