Erin (Fuksa) Miller was born and raised in Hennessey, Oklahoma, by her parents, Daniel and Jeanette Fuksa (both deceased). She has one brother, Jeremy Fuksa. Erin was a member of the Hennessey High School cheerleading team and graduated from Hennessey High School in 1998.
After graduation, Erin attended Oklahoma State University (OSU) from 1998 to 2000 before transferring to Northwestern Oklahoma State University (NWOSU), where she studied from 2000 to 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree. While in nursing school, she worked at St. Maryโs Regional Hospital in Enid and continued there as a surgical nurse from 2003 to 2005.
In 2005, Erin moved with her husband to Mississippi, where she worked for the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency from 2005 to 2007 as an organ recovery coordinator. In this role, she obtained consent for organ donation from families, managed donors medically in the ICU to keep them stable for recovery, and ensured that all organs were sent to their respective transplant destinations.
From 2007 to 2020, Erin served as a surgical nurse at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was reassigned from the surgery department to the COVID floor due to the suspension of surgical procedures.
Since 2020, Erin has worked as the Director of Nursing at Starkville Pediatric Extended Care, a facility for medically fragile children. They care for children with various disabilities, including tracheostomies, seizure disorders, and feeding tubes. Erin states, โThis job is truly the most fulfilling job Iโve ever had.โ
Erin married Randal Miller on July 8, 2000, at St. Josephโs Catholic Church in Hennessey. They will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this July. The couple moved to Starkville, Mississippi, in 2004, where they still reside. They have two children, Emmi (15) and Hutch (12).
Randal and Erin actively support their children in sporting events at Starkville Academy and travel with Emmiโs travel softball team, the Mississippi Swarm. They also enjoy camping, boating on the river, and visiting the beach. Erin has always had the kindest, most beautiful heart and smile!
