Gary Stinebring, Sr., 82 was born at Rosieโs Corner, Sefton Township, Illinois on June 3, 1942 to Elmer Forrest and Virginia Grace Turner Stinebring and died Thursday March 6, 2025 at his home in Hennessey surrounded by his family. There will be no services at Garyโs request.
Gary married Hildana โDandyโ Coppersmith in Sefton Township, Illinois on September 16, 1962.
The family moved to Hennessey in 1966 where Gary was working at Exxon from which he retired.
Gary was a member of St. Josephโs Menโs Club, and Hennessey Powder & String Club. He was well known in the community for his cooking and baking. Many were recipients of Garyโs generosity as he shared his baked goods far and wide.
He is survived by one daughter Kimberly Ann Marotta and husband William of Topeka, Kansas, one son Gary Stinebring, Jr., and wife Teresa of Edmond; two grandchildren Kayla Birchfield and husband Grady, Cody Stinebring, and girlfriend Lauren; two great-grandchildren Avery and Austin Birchfield, and our family of foster great-grandchildren; three brothers Dale Stinebring, Brad Stinebring, and John Stinebring.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dandy, and one brother Paul Stinebring.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested the Catholic Menโs Club as a suitable memorial for Gary.
