At approximately 5:20 AM on February 13th, Kingfisher County Sheriff Deputy Brad Logan was on patrol west of Hennessey when he noticed a barn on fire. Deputy Logan reported, “I banged on the doors of the two homes to wake the residents and get them out of the houses.”
The property, located at 14437 State Highway 51, about three miles west of Hennessey, is owned by Buck & Carol Parker, who shares the premises with Daphne Marshall. When Hennessey firefighters arrived, they found the round-top barn fully engulfed in flames. The outside temperature was only 12 degrees, making the work difficult for first responders.
Several vehicles and golf carts were also destroyed in the fire. Fortunately, the two homes on the property did not sustain any damage.
Officer Luis Rojo with the Hennessey Police Department and Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance during the incident.
