The Hennessey Schools Athletic Director Paul Hix presented his plan to the school board at last weekโs meeting to create a middle school and high school wrestling program. Hix said, โThe new Eagle Event Center is a wonderful facility to host large wrestling events that could bring 300 or 400 wrestlers to town. This would be a good economic boost for Hennessey.โ Hix also said, โThis is a winter sport that runs concurrent with basketball. That would give kids two winter sport options.โ Hix reported that this would not take the place of any sport and it is a very inexpensive program to get started.
