On February 2nd, the Community Action Team (CAT) hosted a fundraiser at Hennessey High School. Michael Drake generously donated his time and effort to cook the meat, while friends contributed by bringing side dishes and teachers provided desserts. The Hennessey High School football team rallied together to support their teammate and his family, serving the hundreds of supporters who came out to show their solidarity. The event featured numerous silent auction items, raffles, and live auction items, with Justin Choate managing the live auction. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone involved; there are far too many to mention individually. It’s important to never take small-town living for granted. We come together in our community’s time of need for love and support—something that many towns cannot claim. The Holder family wants to express their gratitude for everyone’s generosity, prayers, love, and support. They request continued prayers for Joyce, her family, and her doctors.
