Christmas in Hennessey is always a magical time filled with festive activities for the whole family to enjoy. This year is no exception, with the Hennessey Lionโs Club organizing a ton of fun events that will make this holiday season even more special.
Starting at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12th, head over to the Christmas Craft and Sweets Market at the One Twenty Two Event Center. There, you can explore a variety of vendors offering unique gifts and tasty treats, including Sanderโs Quilts and Crafts, Auntie Mโs Side Dough, Cookie Sweet Bites & Bakery, Pampered Chef, P&R Freshies, Bradley Farms, Winter Kreations, Glass Impressions Evolution, and more!
On Oklahoma Street, the Hennessey Mercantile will be serving up delicious warm drinks and snacks while showing the classic movie, โThe Grinch.โ
From 4-5 PM, Santa will be making a special appearance at the Hive, before returning following the festive parade.
For the little ones, there will be a range of fun activities on Oklahoma Street, including coffee, cotton candy, sโmores, and much more. Donโt miss the lighted train ride in Interbankโs parking lot, showcasing some of the neighborhoodโs beautiful Christmas lights. Kids can enjoy the inflatables on the grassy area between Interbank and Seaboard Food. Make sure to snap a photo inside the giant snow globe for a memorable keepsake!
Another highlight of the evening will be the lighted parade starting at 6:00 p.m. Make sure to deck out your floats, trucks, bikes, or anything on wheels with lights for a dazzling display down Main Street. Additionally, the 4Tโs Family Market will be hosting a Shopping Cart Decorating Contest during the parade, with a chance to win a prize provided by 4Tโs. Line up for the parade is at 5:30 p.m. at the pool parking lot on Mitchell Rd.
After the parade, head over to Oklahoma St. on the west side, for the Lionโs Club annual gift certificate giveaway and finale of the night. To participate, in the drawing you must turn your local Hennessey receipts dated between November 1 and December 11th, to Chasity or Sonya at Interbank, by December 11th, make sure to put your name on every ticket. You will bring your tickets with you that night put them in the hopper before the drawing. Remember, you must be present to win! You cannot have someone there to pick up the prize for you.
