This past Monday, September 16, was the 72nd Annual State Fair Band Day and Parade Competition held at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.ย ย The Pride of Hennessey, along with 63 other middle school and high school bands in Classes MS/JH and High School Classes 2A through 6A from around Oklahoma, performed in this event.ย ย The competition events were in the following categories: Parade Band, Drum Line, Drum Major, Color Guard, Twirling, and School Mascot.ย ย The Pride of Hennessey earned 3rd Place in Class 3A Drum Line and in Class 3A Parade Band.ย ย This is a huge accomplishment considering that there were 26 bands in Class 3A, more than in any other class at this event.ย
