The 4th-ranked Eagles had a rematch against the 11th-ranked Riverside Braves with a shot at state hanging in the balance. Riverside started out shooting the lights out, hitting 5 threes for their first points of the ball game, as the Eagles couldn’t get it going from the perimeter. The Braves took hold of the lead and held on because of the beyond-the-arc shooting. Jael Torres was bound to bounce back, and he did. He put up a good 1st half but the Eagles trailed 29-23. In the 2nd half, the Braves hot hands cooled down. Still maintaining a lead, but the Eagles were waiting in the wings for their opening. It came to fruition late in the 3rd, good defense and hot hands from Camdyn Richardson and Hunter Weber allowed the boys to snatch the lead for the first time in the game. A lead they would hold onto for the remainder of regulation. Richardson, Torres, and Weber all had double-digit points as the Eagles will head to the big house next week.
