The Hennessey Water Department has a serious situation on its hands last Thursday afternoon when it started to make an emergency repair on a 6-inch water main.ย ย The leak at 3rd and Cheyenne was nearly 10 feet deep and spewing a 50 ft. geyser of water, so they had to call in help.ย ย Hennesseyโs Grade Works Construction came to the rescue with a larger excavator and safety equipment to work in a hole that deep.ย ย Water was turned off town-wide at 2:45 pm and the repair was complete by 5 pm.ย
