Hennessey Grads from all years came together Saturday night for the annual HHS All School Reunion. Several hundred enjoyed music from the Gnome Town Heroโs band and partook of the potluck dinner and BBQ prepared by Danny Bossa. The event was hosted by Beth and Jimmy Berkenbile at The Gathering Place south of Hennessey
Jimmy Berkenbile made some emotional opening remarks and remembered several classmates that are no longer with them. Berkenbile said, โThis all started with Jack Funderburg. He would always ask when the next one is.โ Jack Funderburg was HHSโs principal during the 70โs. Berkenbileโs event building walls are a shrine to Funderburg featuring several items that belonged to him along with several photos.
