When the Eagle Event Center (The Dome) was being planned, there was a great deal of talk about how large tournaments and events would bring people to our town. Well, if you want to see what success looks like, drive by the Dome almost any day this week and well into next week, and it will be clear. The constant flow of busses and people from all over the state are coming to Hennessey for the State Basketball playoffs. Each team brings several hundred people that eat, buy gas and spend time in our small town. This facility is a great example of how economic success should look. If you meet someone from another area, welcome them to Hennessey and show off our hospitality.
