Track season officially got underway in Hennessey on Friday, March 13th, as the Eagles hosted the first meet of the year. With 29 schools making their way to town, it turned into a full day at the track for athletes, coaches, and fans alike.
The morning started out a little chilly, the kind of morning where hoodies and jackets were a must, but as the clouds moved out, the day turned into a perfect one for runners, throwers, and jumpers.
For Hennessey athletes, it was a great way to kick off the season. Early meets are always a chance to see where everyone is starting the year, shake off the nerves, and begin building momentum for the weeks ahead.
