Emma Gay Sieber transitioned from this life to her heavenly home from natural causes on March 8th, 2026. She was born on December 20th, 1934 to Luther and Winifred Branson in Cashion, OK.
She graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1953. Following her graduation, she worked for Pioneer Telephone as a switchboard operator.
She married her husband, Robert John “Jack” Sieber of Hennessey on April 11th, 1957. She and her husband began a brief foray in the dairy industry and continued to share a life in the wheat and cattle industry on their farm in Hennessey. They also owned and operated the Hennessey Livestock Auction.
Emma was a devoted homemaker and raised four children while assisting her husband with the routine farming tasks.
She loved to sew and made many of the clothes for her children as well as sewing clothing or costumes for the school system while her children were in public school. Emma also quilted and made many quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was also a great cook with a homemade gravy that the grandkids have tried “without success” to replicate and a homemade Mac & Cheese that is a family favorite.
Emma was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and attended church in Enid, Ok and then Hennessey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Luther, David, Emmitt (twin), Melvin, and sisters Betty and Lola Belle. Daughters Jane Robison and husband Kelly, Jaree Sieber-Fry, sons Joe Sieber and wife Dora, and Jon Sieber and wife Lisa. Grandchildren Shane, Brandon, Jennifer, Emma, Jeri, Kaitlyn, Madilyn, Teja and Tavin, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at the Hennessey Church of Christ on Friday, March 13 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
