It was a good week to be a fire truck in Hennessey.
The entire fleet from the Hennessey Fire Department rolled outside and enjoyed a little sunshine while something long overdue was happening back at the station.
With the bays cleared out, Town of Town of Hennessey crew members Jamie Keel and Kyle Watkins got to work lining out the fire station. And yes, we mean that in the most literal way possible.
For the first time ever, the fire station now has official parking lines.
No more eyeballing it. No more “that’s probably straight.” No more firefighter-style creative parking. Every bay and parking space has now been carefully measured, marked, and painted.
Keel and Watkins took their time getting everything just right before spraying the lines with the same durable paint used for street parking. In other words, these stripes are built to last.
The result is simple but noticeable. Clean lines. Organized parking. Fire trucks that now know exactly where they belong.
It may not put out a blaze, but it sure makes the station look sharper and more put together. Sometimes progress shows up as a big new building or a major upgrade. Other times, it’s fresh paint and straight lines done well.
Either way, the Hennessey Fire Station is officially lined out, and it’s looking better than ever.
