National School Counselor’s Week was celebrated February 2–6, and Hennessey Public Schools took time to shine a well-deserved spotlight on three people who quietly make a big difference every single day.
School counselors are often the steady presence behind the scenes, helping students tackle tough assignments, plan for what comes after graduation, and navigate the everyday ups and downs that come with growing up. They listen, encourage, problem-solve, and cheer students on, all while working closely with teachers, families, and support staff to make sure no one slips through the cracks.
Hennessey is fortunate to have counselors who bring heart, patience, and dedication to their work. At the ECC and Elementary level, Brenda Jimenez helps lay a strong foundation for young learners. Middle school students benefit from the guidance and support of Lindsey Jones during those pivotal in-between years. At the high school, Carol Keeton is there to help students plan their futures while reminding them they are capable of more than they realize.
We are grateful for these three outstanding counselors and the care they show our students every day. Their work matters, and our schools, and students, are better because of them.
