If you’ve ever tuned in to a Hennessey game on Skordle, you’ve heard the energy, the humor, and the rapid-fire play-by-play that’s become a fan favorite. But before we get to the local talent, here’s a quick look at the platform itself.
Skordle, a social scoring mobile app founded in Norman in 2014, focuses on Oklahoma high school and club sports. Users can submit real-time score updates and follow live scores statewide. The company isn’t funded by outside investors; instead, it keeps the lights on through advertising and partnerships with schools. Those partnerships include providing equipment for livestreaming games—a move credited with boosting viewership by 20–25 percent across participating schools.
Now, back to Hennessey.
The familiar voice calling the action belongs to Trenton Byrd, a Junior at Hennessey High School. Trenton’s quick wit, dry humor, and no-nonsense commentary make him a natural behind the mic. He jumped into the role without hesitation and, frankly, without missing a beat. His delivery is sharp, honest, and exactly what fans love.
But great commentary needs great visuals, and that’s where Brylie Haas comes in. A Hennessey High School Senior, Brylie handles the filming—steady, focused, and always ready to capture the moment Trenton is reacting to. She’s known for her kindness, her work ethic, and the smile that shows up even on the long road trips.
Together, the two make a strong team. They travel with Hennessey’s athletes, rarely slowing down, never complaining, and always producing the content fans rely on. Their dedication reflects the best of what student involvement can look like: skilled, committed, and rooted in community pride.
Hennessey Public Schools—and the community around them—are lucky to have this talented pair representing Eagle Nation.
Thank you, Brylie and Trenton. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. AAH, Shelley Muzny
