Just as most families were settling down for Thanksgiving dinner, one Hennessey familyโs life changed forever when their home burned to the ground.
Hennessey firefighters responded to a house fire at 6688 Alice St. in Ikeโs Acres, south of Hennessey on Thanksgiving morning at about 11:30 am. The home was fully engulfed when crews arrived and is considered a total loss.
Firefighters remained on scene until about 2 pm before returning to the station. Assisting agencies included the Kingfisher County Sheriffโs Department and LiFE EMS.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. However, the Vinton Johnson III family lost everything in this devastating fire. In response, the Hennessey CAT Team has established an account at CSB Bank in Hennessey to accept monetary donations.
