AAH-Amy Smith
You could say working with his hands runs in the family, but while the rest of the Haraks leaned toward mechanics, John Harak had his sights set on something that sparked a little differently. While his son Landon took the mechanic route with his business, R&H Auto, John knew that once computers started running vehicles, he was ready to trade wrenches for a welding torch.
Now with 35 years of experience, Johnโs welded his way through everything from oilfield repair and heavy haul trailers to stainless and aluminum fabrication. When needed, heโs even mobile, bringing the heat straight to the job site.
Teaming up with fellow seasoned welder Tony Guffey, the two share over 70 years of combined experience, a lifetime of craftsmanship, and grit thatโs hard to match.
Before launching Harak Welding, John spent 13 years at Enid Mack, where he started their fabrication shop, followed by six years with Industrial Equipment in Enid, then at Longhorn before going out on his own.
Johnโs handiwork has shaped countless oilfield and service trucks across the region. His welding has been the steady hand behind the scenes for decades. Known for custom fabrication and air-ride trailer bushing repairs with quick, one-day turnarounds, Harak Welding keeps jobs rolling and strives to maintain fair prices, often able to price-match or beat competitors by half.
Grandson Waylon loves spending the day โhelping Pawyaโ and getting his hands dirty. What better way to make work fun and meaningful than by inspiring young hands and curious minds? When the sparks settle and the day winds down, John enjoys quiet evenings and weekends surrounded by his grandkids.
So if itโs a quick fix or a custom build, Harak Welding has the right touch to make it hold tight. You can find them at 1100 N. Mitchell in Hennessey, or call 405-853-1491 to light your next spark.
