On Tuesday evening, November 4th, the Hennessey Masons made a significant contribution to student safety by donating a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to Hennessey Public Schools. An AED is a portable, battery-powered device designed to analyze a person’s heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock if necessary to restore a normal heartbeat—an essential tool in responding to sudden cardiac arrest when every second counts.
The district already maintains one AED in every school building, but this donation fills an important gap. With the Masons’ support, Hennessey Public Schools now has an AED dedicated to each athletic team, ensuring immediate access during practices, games, and off-campus events where medical emergencies can happen without warning.
School Nurse Shelley Muzny and High School Principal Josh Faulkner accepted the donation on behalf of the district, expressing gratitude for the Masons’ continued commitment to supporting local students and staff. Photo by AAH’s Jack Quirk
